I have been listening to cuts off of your upcoming CD and I cant say enough how much I like it. IT ROCKS! Driving Me Wild is my fav. This is some of the best music I have EVER HEARD! I love Skynyrd, Hatchet, MTB, The Allmans and this is right there with them. Yall are Awesome!

i wrote a poem about the STB band. i hope that ya`ll like it.

SILVER TRAVIS BAND.

IN THE BASEMENT OF A HOUSE,FRIENDS STARTED A BAND.
THEIR PARENTS WERE WORRIED BUT LEFT
IT IN GOD`S HANDS.

THEY PRACTICED AND PLAYED INTO THE EARLY HOURS.
UNTIL BARBARA THE MOTHER PULLED THE POWER.

ALLEN THE DAD WOULD SIT IN.
HE WOULD LISTEN TO THE BAND WITH HIS FACE IN A GRIN.

THEY PRACTICED NIGHT AND DAY.
THEY DECIDED THE TIME HAD COME TO BE ON THERE WAY.

THEY PLAYED IN TOWNS NEAR AND FAR,
AND PLAYED AT THE BOWERY THEIR FIRST BAR.

IN THEIR TRAVELS ALONG THE ROAD.
MONEY STARTED RUNNING LOW.

THEY GOT ON THE HIGHWAY AND HEADED HOME.
KNOWING THEY HAD NO TIME TO ROAM.

THEY GOT BEHIND A TRUCK,
AND THOUGHT IT WAS SNOWING.
IT WAS A CHICKEN TRUCK,
AND FEATHERS WERE BLOWING.

THE MUSIC THEY PLAYED CAME FROM THE HEART.
FANS WERE SAD WHEN THE BAND DECIDED TO PART.

WE ALL KNOW HOW THE BAND STARTED. NO ONE KNOWS WHY THEY PARTED.

AFTER A 20 YEAR REST,
THEY ARE BACK AND AT THEIR BEST.

RANDALL PICKS THE GUITAR WITH HIS
THUMB SO WELL THAT HE HAS BEEN COMPARED TO TOY CALDWELL.

MIKE IS IN THE BACK WHERE HE STAYS.
HE DOESN`T PICK OR SING. THE DRUMS
ARE ALL HE PLAYS.

GILLY IS NEW TO THE BAND.
HE PLAYS THE GUITAR WITH HIS LEFT HAND.

TERRY [CHAINSAW] PLAYS THE KEYS BLACK AND WHITE,
AND PUTS TOGETHER A SOUND THAT EVERYONE LIKES.

JOEY WORKS WITH COMPUTERS BY DAY.
IN THE BAND BASS IS WHAT HE PLAYS.

RICK IS ONE OF THE STRONGEST VOICES IN THE SOUTH. THE WORDS AND SOUNDS FLOW, WHEN HE OPENS HIS MOUTH.

NOW YOU ARE BACK AND YOUR FANS ARE GLAD.
THE 20 YEARS APART, YOUR FANS WERE SAD.

SOME FAMOUS FACES EVERYONE KNOW`S,

I have really enjoyed listening to your cd.The band is tight with a clean crisp sound of the lead guitar, which has a Toy Caldwell influence and we all love that. Recently, my son and I watched "The 20 Greatest Southern Rocks Songs" on CMT. I started recounting all of the concerts that I went to in the early 80's. I then began telling him about my high school graduation trip from South Charleston, West Virginia to Myrtle Beach in June, 1982. The highlight of the trip were the nights we spent at The Bowery and listening to this great sourthern rock group called The Siver Travis Band!

In fact, members of the band came over to our motel one night after the show and I still have an autographed copy of the .45 with "Baby It's True". I remember that week in Myrtle Beach and listening to the Silver Travis Band like it was yesterday.

Wondering whatever happened to the band and its members, I was pleasantly surprised when I did a Google search and found the Silver Travis website! It's great to see Rick, Randy, Joey, and Mike still rocking and I hope that they don't take another 20 year vacation.

I live in Arizona now, so, unfortunately I won't be able to see the gang live anytime soon. However, the CD will be good substitute!
