Wild Eyed Southern Boys - October 10, 2011

Thanks to everyone for coming out to hear us and our buds .38 Special at the South Carolina State H.O.G. Rally. We had a great time and it sure was fun getting together with family, old friends and making new ones. We'd also like to give a special shout out to rally coordinator Keith Buchanan for having us open the show. He's not much to look at but he sure drives a nice bike!

Silver Travis Featured in Current Issue of EASYRIDERS Magazine - September 21, 2011

The European version of the famed biker magazine EASYRIDERS this month features a beautiful four page, photo filled article on the band, including an interview with bassist Joey Parrish. The September 2011 issue was published in Germany, and is the premier motorcycle magazine of the entire planet.

Silver Travis To Headline Hearts of the South Event - August 22, 2011

Hearts of the South, a new SC non-profit corporation established for the purpose of aiding uninsured southern musicians in need, will hold their first ever event at 8 PM on Friday, September 16, 2011 at The Cellar, below the Four Seasons Restaurant on Fernwood Glendale Road in Spartanburg. Organizers are expecting many special guests for this show, themed "Carolina Dreams - A Tribute to the Music of Spartanburg, SC." The show will feature former members of The Marshall Tucker Band, as well as well loved area players like Rickey Godfrey, Freddie Vanderford, Fayssoux McLean, Justin McCorkle, Marti Beilmeyer and more along with sets from Speedwell and a reunion of the 1980's local band Buffalo Hut Coalition! (Hey Joey Parrish was their first bass player!) There will also be an auction of autographed items from folks like Charlie Daniels, Billy Bob Thornton and the late Dale Earnhardt! We hope to see y'all there!

Let the Good Times Roll - July 18, 2011

Many thanks to everyone who came out to join us on Music on Main here in Spartanburg and to those who came to the Fabulous 4th of July celebration in Columbus NC. It appeared that a good time was had by all. The band sure did gave a great time. We've got alot on the calendar coming up, at trip to Chiefs here in Spartanburg, the Cabarrus County Fair in Concord NC and we're opening once again for our buds .38 Special. This time we will be joining them at the at the 2011 State H.O.G. rally. Be sure to check out the calendar page of our website for more details.

Hot Fun in the Summertime - June 20, 2011

We'd like to thank the Blue Ridge BBQ festival for having us open for Nashville recording artist and rising country star, Chuck Wicks. The weather was nice, the crowd was great and the food was fantastic. It's always a treat for us to play for the festival. We're playing Music on Main this Thursday here in beautiful downtown Spartanburg SC. The music starts at 6pm and we play until 9pm. You never know who might show up when we play here so come on out and have some fun with us.

Be sure to put the fabulous 4th of July celebration in Columbus NC on your calendar. Columbus really rolls out the red carpet for their annual July 4th celebration. It's an all day event with Music, food, amusement rides and fun for the entire family. Silver Travis plays 8:30-9:45 then the evening gets wrapped up with a spectacular fireworks show.

Good Times - May 9, 2011

We want to thank the Confederate Railroad band & crew for all of the hospitality and fun that we had with them in Loogoff, SC. One of the highlights of the evening was when the Railroad invited Rick to come join them on the stage. Being from Spartanburg they knew we knew every Marshall Tucker song so Rick joined them in an outstanding version of 'Can't you see'. The crowd was great and the folks at Gadgets were excellent hosts. A good time was had by all.

If you're in Spartanburg on Sunday May 15th, please come by the Wild Wing Cafe. We're having a benefit for our brother Buffalo Smith. Buffalo has been so kind to so many people over the years, it's an honer to participate in a benefit for him. Please keep him in your prayers and we hope to see you there.

We've got a few gigs in the works for the Spring & Summer so keep your eyes on our calendar and come see us when you can.

We'd like to welcome Keith Buchannan to our crew for booking and management purposes. He's not much to look at but he does drive a nice Harley Davidson.

Spring Around The Corner? - February 2, 2011

Well, If Punxsutawney Phil is correct.....Spring will be here before we know it. And that means its time for Silver Travis to gear up for a busy 2011. We already have some confirmed dates on our calender. Check back often as we will be adding many more.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS - December 22, 2010

This is the time of year that STB likes to slow down and spend precious time with our loved ones. In the next few months we'll be finishing up some work in the studio, working on some new material, and getting ready for a busy 2011. STB would like to take this opportunity and thank everyone for a wonderful 2010 and wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR!! GOD BLESS!!

Man what a show - October 13, 2010

Many thanks to the folks from Harley Davidson for placing us on the roster to open for The Marshall Tucker Band at their SC State H.O.G rally last week. Keith .. Warren... you guys are great. The weather could not have been better, the crowd was great and the music rocked. We appreciate the welcome from everyone and special thanks to all those who came out to see us play. Also a very special thanks to David Shealy for coming out to play some sax and percussion with us. We had a great time.

We'd like to give a special shout out to our brother Buffalo Smith for making alot happen for us. Buffalo just went through a difficult eye surgery and the doc says that all is well. Please keep him in your thoughts & prayers. We'll be participating in a benefit concert for the Buffalo soon so stay tuned for details. This promises to be a great show with some very special guests. Let the healing begin...

Many thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate our High Road CD release party at the handlebar in Greenville, SC. The band had a great time and the whole house rocked all night. Thanks also to our very special guests who jammed with us at the end of the show.

It's Summertime .. and the living is easy ... - June 25, 2010

Many thanks to everyone who came out to hear us at Music On Main in Spartanburg. Even though it was a cool 98 degrees in the shade, we all had a great time. Thanks to Tim Lawter and David Shealy for joining us also. Check out the gallery page to some good pics.
We hope that everyone has a great Independence Day weekend. We're playing the Fabulous 4th Celebration in Columbus, North Carolina on Saturday July 3rd followed by a spectacular fireworks display. We hit the stage around 8 and the fireworks start around 9:30. Hope to see you there.

Spring is in the air - April 1, 2010

Spring is in the air and we're ready for it. It's always fun to play outdoor events and we have a few lined up over the next couple of months that promise to be alot of fun. On Saturday May 1st we're proud to be part of the H and K Poker Run to benefit Autism Speaks. This is a fun filled all day event at the Union County Fairgrounds featuring several bands. Getting ready for the holidays - November 17, 2009

The band is getting ready to spend some quality time with friends and family over the holidays. This has been a very busy year for us with tragic accidents, grandchildren being born, bringing Brad into the fold on keys...there has been alot going on. We're going to enjoy the holidays and we all hope that you get to take time and enjoy them as well. We have lot's in store for 2010 and everyone is looking forward to introducing you to Brad. We'll be going into the studio soon to throw down some new tune demos and we'll be glad to share so stay tuned for more details.

We'd like to thank everyone for the letters and e-mails. Tellittothedevil has really helped us out alot getting onto youtube so many thanks to him for his hard work. If you haven't checked us out on youtube.com , our smiling faces are out there. Gritzman has been there working his tail off too. hats off to he and his crew at swampland.com. for everything. The CD sales have been overwhelming. literally hundreds and hundreds have been sold in Europe. If you don't have your copy yet, be sure to get yours soon. They make great stocking stuffers.

Whippoorwill Music Festival - August 21, 2009

We're proud to be part of the Whippoorwill Music Festival again this year. This is the 4th year for this spectacular annual three day music event. There will be music, food, camping and fun for the entire family. Proceeds for this year's festival will go to South Mountain Children's Homes. On Saturday August 22nd, Silver Travis will be playing our set and will also be accompanying the incomparable Juleigh Ed for her set. John Berry, Blake Wise, Bobby Denton and dozens of other artists are also scheduled to appear. You won't want to miss this one.

New Addition!! - August 7, 2009

Silver Travis would like to welcome keyboardist Brad Durden to the family. Brad is an accomplished piano man who also plays a mean organ. He not only brings versatility to the band with his keyboard work he also adds excellent harmonies to the mix. Be on the lookout for future STB Shows because this is definitely going to be exciting!!
